ultra violet wedding inspiration
The new trends in event styling and wedding décor each year offer so much inspiration for me. I start pinning ideas in the fall for what will be the look of spring and summer weddings the following year. This year I am over the moon over the color and décor tends. This season we’ll see soft hues of ultra violet, romantic pastel bouquets with trailing foliage, touches of metallic and burnished metals, sequin accents and contemporary details.
All things Ultra violet take the spot light in 2018 Described as a “dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade,” PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet is the color of this season. Described as complex and contemplative by the color corporation, this enigmatic blue-based purple is associated to the mysteries of the cosmos, the future and the mystical universe.
According to Pantone, purple is a symbol of counterculture, unconventionality, and artistic brilliance. The company also informed that the depth of PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet symbolizes experimentation and non-conformity, spurring individuals to imagine their unique mark in the world, and push boundaries through creative outlets.
“The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today,” said Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute in a statement. Could there be a better color element to add to the deeper meaning of your commitment?
We’ll see plenty of accent elements to create a dreamy romantic vibe, whether your vision is rustic sophistication or more contemporary. From the invitations to dresses to table favors, I can’t wait to create with this beautiful color and these design elements this season.
